I still don’t like the latest version of your Chicken Salad Sandwich, but now your limited time Peppermint Chocolate Shake – now this I like a lot!

Dear Chick-fil-A,

I had heard that you recently updated your menu.  I thought oh boy, that should be fun!  I went today to grab a quick sandwich before a doctor’s appt.  I was really looking forward to my Chick-fil-A Chicken Salad Sandwich – you know the one – the tasty chicken salad between two slices of wheat bread that are pressed flately together & warming inside your Chick-fil-A thermal bags.

As I looked up at the menu, I thought to myself – oh that’s a new menu board … wait, no that’s the new menu!  I glance through to find the Chick-fil-A Chicken Salad Sandwich – you know the one – the tasty chicken salad between two slices of wheat bread that are pressed flately together & warming inside your Chick-fil-A thermal bags.

So I then asked the stupid question with the obvious answer … “did your Chicken Salad Sandwich change?”.  The 12-year old cashier told me that it’s the same Chicken Salad but they’ve added lettuce & put it on a thicker bread b/c the other one got flat & mushy.  I liked flat & mushy … it was easy to eat in the car & it tasty so yummy!  I smiled at the 12-year old and said, “ok, I’ll give it a shot”.

She then handed me my new Chick-fil-A Chicken Salad Sandwich with a big old piece of Green Leaf Lettuce inside of a clear clamshell package (which as your online press release states that’s to resemble packaging more typical of high-end deli than a fast-food restaurant).

Would you please tell Truett that I prefer the old Chicken Salad Sandwich … that I like my flat, mushy sandwich in the thermal foil bag b/c I came to Chick-fil-A (a fast food restaurant & not a high-end deli).  The new one’s pretty good (after removing that Green Leaf Lettuce, but it falls apart too easily & I have to peel the bark back because who really like’s the end stuff anyways?

Very Sincerely,

it’s come to this …

And PS – No offense towards your 12-year old cashiers.  They are always more together than any other adult at your competition!
